Mr. James Lavis
James started studying at uq after moving to Brisbane in 2017 and finished his bachelor's in science with a major in physics at the end of 2019 and became interested in superconducting qubits when he found out about the SQD lab. He is passionate about working on the theoretical and experimental challenges that arise from the pursuit of viable quantum computing hardware. he is working on a project to test the hypothesis that qubit coherence time is affected by phonons in the silicon substrate.
